The honey produced by the Dabur Nepal company is found inedible, the Department of Food Technology and Quality Control informed. It was found in the sample collection during market monitoring.
The investigation officer of the department has issued a notice writing that the honey production by the Dabur Nepal Pvt. Ltd. located in Jitpur Simara Sub-metropolitan City-23 of Bara has been found of substandard quality as per the Food Hygiene and Quality Act, 2026.
The company is asked to withdraw its products from the market as per Section 38 (2) and directed not to sell or distribute the honey after the laboratory test didn’t meet the prescribed standard of the department.
