Two Chinese nationals held with 2 kg gold in Thamel

Police have arrested two Chinese nationals in possession of two kg gold and Rs 2.4 million in cash from Thamel, Kathmandu on Tuesday. 

SP Kaji Kumar Acharya, Information Officer at the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, said that the duo were apprehended with the gold and the cash from a hotel in Thamel.

He said that they are looking into the case.

Similarly, the price of silver has increased by Rs 15 and is being traded at Rs 2, 280 per tola today.

The price of gold has increased by Rs 300 per tola in the domestic market on Thursday.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the precious yellow metal is being traded at Rs 192, 300 per tola today. It was traded at Rs 192, 000 per tola on Wednesday.

Similarly, the silver is being traded at Rs 2, 265 per tola today.
