Hikmat Jung Karki has been appointed as a member of the Central International Relations Department of the Rastriya Swatantra Party. 

According to the party, Karki of Kathmandu was appointed to the post with the belief that he will efficiently fulfill his responsibilities in accordance with the party's constitution, policies, principles, and departmental regulations.

Upon being appointed to the department, Karki expressed his commitment to continuously strive to further strengthen, make effective, and expand international relations from his side under the guidance of the leadership, while remaining fully committed to the party's constitution, policies, and principles.
