The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Nepal organized the 2026 K-Vibe Festival: “Glow and Taste” on Saturday at Chhaya Center, Kathmandu, attracting almost 2,300 attendees from the general public, key stakeholders, and media.
The festival brought together eight local K-beauty shops and leading distributors, six restaurants affiliated with the Korean Restaurant Association in Kathmandu, and three major South Korean institutions operating in Nepal—KOICA, KOPIA, and EPS Center—which play roles in international cooperation, agricultural development, and migrant worker management.
Speaking at the event, Taeyoung Park described the festival as a meaningful platform for showcasing Korean beauty and culture. He said that K-Beauty demonstrations and cultural festivals have become a vibrant bridge between countries, enabling younger generations to engage with global trends while embracing their own identities. Ambassador Park also highlighted the growing popularity of Korean culture in Nepal, including K-Beauty, K-pop, K-dramas, and Korean cuisine.
The event was organized as part of the global K-Vibe Festival, an immersive cultural initiative hosted by South Korean government agencies, including the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization.
The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Nepal stated that it will continue to promote people-to-people exchanges and deepen cultural cooperation through a variety of annual initiatives.
