UML wins mayor, deputy mayor posts in Siraha Municipality

The CPN-UML has won both mayor and deputy posts in Siraha Municipality.

Dr Nabin Kumar Yadav has been elected as the mayor of the Ministry while Babita Kumari Sah as the deputy mayor.

According to the office of Chief Election Officer, Yadav garnered 11, 143 votes. His closest contender Upendra Kumar Yadav of Nepali Congress secured 8, 720 votes.

Similarly, Sah has been elected as the deputy mayor with 10, 126 votes. Her closest rival Sarita Kumari Yadav of Nepali Congress got 8, 589 votes.

Khadka Raut elected mayor, Guliya Chaudhary deputy mayor in Ghodaghodi Municipality of Kailali

CPN (Unified Socialist) candidate Khadka Raut has been elected as the mayor of Ghodaghodi Municipality in Kailali.

He defeated his contender with 4, 887 votes.

Raut garnered 13, 128 votes while his rival Mamata Prasad Chaudhary of CPN-UML got 8, 249 votes.

Likewise, Guliya Chaudhary of Nepali Congress has won the post of deputy mayor with 12, 270 votes.

Her closest contender Karuna Bam Batala of CPN-UML received 6, 963 votes.

Bhojraj Bohara of NC elected mayor of Bedkot Municipality in Kanchanpur

Nepali Congress candidate Bhojraj Bohara has been elected as the mayor of Bedkot Municipality, Kanchanpur.

He secured 8, 078 votes while his closest contender Sushila Singh of CPN-UML garnered 4, 470 votes.

Similarly, Tulasi Joshi of Nepal Congress has been elected as the deputy mayor with 7, 254 votes, Her competitor Parbati Bhatta of CPN-UML obtained 5, 727 votes.

UML’s deputy mayoral candidate Sunita Dangol leading with 13, 640 votes in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

CPN-UML deputy mayoral candidate Sunita Dangol is leading with 13, 640 votes in Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

According to the latest update, she has garnered 19, 956 votes.

Rameshwar Shrestha of CPN (Unified Socialist) secured 6, 316 votes.

Counting of votes has been completed in ward 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. The counting is underway in ward 6, 7, 26, 29, 30, 31 and 32.
