Civil servants salary increased by 15 percent
The government has increased the salary of civil servants.
Finance Minister Janardan Sharma said that the salary of the civil servants has been increased by 15 percent.
This will come into effect from July next fiscal year.
He said that the government has also given continuity to the dearness allowance.
Government allocates Rs 75. 10 billion for energy sector
The government has allocated Rs 75.10 billion for the development of the energy sector.
Presenting the budget for the next fiscal year, Finance Minister Janardan Sharma 715 MW of electricity will be connected to the national transmission grid and Rs 43 billion has been allocated for construction of infrastructure.
The government aims to provide electricity to all households in the next two years.
Similarly, the government has decided to reduce the subsidy being provided to the cooking gas and remove cylinder gas from the Singhadurbar by July next year.
Minister Sharma said that the government will also finalize the investment modality of the Budhigandaki Hydro Project.
Charging stations to be constructed in 50 places to increase use of electric vehicles
The government has allocated a budget to construct charging stations in 50 places to increase the use of electric vehicles.
Finance Minister Janardan Sharma said that the private sector will be encouraged to construct the charging stations.
Similarly, the government has planned to replace the traditional brick kilns with electric brick kilns.
Government allocates Rs 70. 05 billion for education sector
The government has allocated Rs 70. 05 billion for the Ministry of Education.
Finance Minister Janardan Sharma said that the amount was allocated for the development of education, science and technology sector.
Similarly, Minister Sharma said that Rs 5.32 billion has been allocated in the province and Rs 121.01 at the local level.
Likewise, he said that Rs 8. 30 has been allocated for the tenchnical education training and 1, 200 schools will be conducted under the Educational Reform Program.
Minister Sharma further said that Rs 200 million has been allocated for the computer and internet in 20 schools of each province.
