RPP Chair Lingden casts ballot
Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chair and party candidate from Jhapa Constituency-3, Rajendra Lingden, visited the polling center at the Haldibari-1 ward office today to cast his vote.
Voting for the House of Representatives (HoR) elections-2026 has been underway since 7 today.
According to Dilli Ram Prasai, the Assistant Election Officer for Jhapa Constituency-3, Lingden cast his ballot at 7:30 am.
UML Chair Oli votes from Balkot-based polling center
CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli today voted in the House of Representatives (HoR) elections-2026.
He visited the polling center at Mahendra Shanti Secondary School in Balkot, Suryabinayak Municipality-2, Bhaktapur, and cast his vote.
Oli is also contesting the election from Jhapa Constituency-5.
After voting, he expressed hope that the election would conclude peacefully and impartially across the country.
HoR polls: 18 percent turnout till 12 noon
Voting under the House of Representatives (HoR) Election -2026 has been underway since 7 am.
As of 12:00 noon, the voter turnout was around 18 percent, the Election Commission said.
According to EC Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, till 12:00 noon, the EC system had received information that 3,163,736 votes (around 18 percent) were cast.
The voting is taking place enthusiastically across the country, it has been said.
104-year-old woman votes in Mechinagar
A 104-year-old woman has voted at the polling center of Dhulabari Secondary School, located in Mechinagar Municipality-10, under the House of Representatives member election.
Tulasa Koirala of Jhapa-1 came to the polling station with the support of her son and grandson.
