Nepse plunges by 10. 54 points on Sunday
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) plunged by 10. 54 points to close at 1,883.16 points on Sunday. Similarly, the sensitive index dropped by 1. 83 points to close at 370. 53 points. A total of 2,028,348 unit shares of 225 companies were traded for Rs 77 billion. Meanwhile, Laxmi Equity Fund was the top gainer today with its price surging by 7. 90 percent. Likewise, Nabil Balanced Fund-2 was the top loser with its price dropped by 6. 90 percent. At the end of the day, the total market capitalization stood at Rs 2. 70 trillion.
Gold price increases by Rs 600 per tola on Sunday
The price of gold has increased by Rs 600 per tola in the domestic market on Sunday. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the precious yellow metal is being traded at Rs 97, 300 per tola today. It was traded at Rs 96, 700 on Friday. Meanwhile, tejabi gold is being traded at Rs 96, 800 per tola.
Old website of NEPSE to be closed from Sunday
The old website of Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), which is currently in operation, will be closed from Sunday. Issuing a notice on Friday, the NEPSE said that it has decided to close the old website to bring the new one into operation from Sunday. "We would like to inform everyone concerned that the new data will not be updated on the old website from now on," the notice read.
Gold price increases by Rs 1, 300 per tola on Friday
The price of gold has increased by Rs 1, 300 per tola in the domestic market on Friday. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the precious yellow metal is being traded at Rs 96, 200 per tola today. It was traded at Rs 95, 400 on Thursday. Meanwhile, tejabi gold is being traded at Rs 94, 900 per tola.
