Syria's Sharaa arrives in US for Trump talks after sanctions lifted

Syrian President Ahmed Sharaa has arrived in Washington for an official visit, just two days after the US formally revoked his status as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist, BBC reported.

The former Islamist militant will meet US President Donald Trump at the White House on Monday, eleven months after his rebel alliance ousted Bashar al-Assad.

Hours before his arrival in the US capital it was announced that Syrian security services had detained dozens of suspected members of the so-called Islamic State group, according to BBC.

Gold price increases by Rs 200 per tola on Sunday

The price of gold has increased by Rs 200 per tola in the domestic market on Sunday. 

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the precious yellow metal is being traded at Rs 238, 600 per tola today. It was traded at Rs 238, 400 per tola on Friday.

Similarly, the silver is being traded at Rs 3, 015 per tola today.

Kane nets late equaliser but Bayern's winning run ends with Union draw

Harry Kane headed in a stoppage-time equaliser to avoid Bayern Munich's first defeat of the season but their 2-2 draw at Union Berlin ended their record winning start across all competitions, Reuters reported.

Everton ease to dominant 2-0 home win over Fulham

Idrissa Gueye and Michael Keane scored as Everton claimed a deserved 2-0 Premier League win over Fulham on Saturday in a game in which they had the ball in the net on five occasions, Reuters reported ​​​​​​.

Everton moved up 11th in the table with 15 points from 11 games, while Fulham remained 15th with 11 points from the same number of matches.

Juve are fifth in the standings on 19 points from 11 games, two points behind Inter Milan, AC Milan and AS Roma, who all have a match in hand, with leaders Napoli on 22 points ahead of Sunday's game at Bologna. Torino are in 11th place on 14 points, according to Reuters.

Arsenal's winning streak ends, Chelsea up to second, Man United draw at Spurs

Arsenal's red-hot winning run came to a dramatic end on Saturday as Brian Brobbey's acrobatic stoppage-time equaliser earned Sunderland a 2-2 draw that gave Premier League title chasers Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool some relief, Reuters reported.
