A few places in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini Provinces and one or two places in the remaining provinces are experiencing light to moderate rain. This is due to the monsoon, which is still active in the country.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the weather is currently partly to mostly cloudy across the country. This afternoon, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some parts of the hilly areas and in a few places in the rest of the country.

Furthermore, there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali Provinces, says the weather forecast bulletin issued by the Division this morning.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, light to moderate rainfall with lightning is taking place at some places of Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces.

There will be generally cloudy weather throughout the country this afternoon, added the Department. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces and one or two places of Madhes Province.

Similarly, heavy rainfall is also likely to occur at one or two places of Koshi, Bagmati and Sudurpaschim Provinces.

Likewise, it will be partly to generally cloudy weather in Koshi, Bagmati, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces tonight while light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning has been forecast in the remaining provinces.

Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places of Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini and Madhes Provinces. The Department has forecast light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at few places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces and one or two places of Madhes Province.

Stating that there is also possibility of heavy rainfall at one or two places of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Sudurpaschim Provinces, the Department urged the general public of these places to remain alert.

The monsoon winds have widespread effects across the country resulting in partial to general rainfall, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology said.  

The Department said that the low-pressure line of monsoon is towards the western part of its average location and in some northern direction towards the east of its average location.

The weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy throughout the country today.

Light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is happening at a few places of Koshi and Madhes provinces and light rain in one or two places of Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces.

Currently, rain is occurring in the Kathmandu Valley.

Likewise, heavy rain is taking place along with thunder and lightning in one or two places of Madhes Province.

According to the Department, it will be generally cloudy throughout the country this afternoon. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of all the provinces.

This afternoon, heavy rain is predicted in one or two places of Bagmati and Lumbini Provinces.

Likewise, the same pattern of the weather is likely this evening too with the prediction of heavy rain in one or two places of Koshi, Bagmati and Lumbini Provinces.
