A police constable died after being hit by a motorbike in Makwanpur on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Binod AD (25) of Dadeldhura, currently stationed at the Bagmati Province Police Battalion, Hetauda.

The two-wheeler (Na 43 Pa 222) heading towards Nawalpur from Hetauda hit Binod at around 6:30 today.

Following the incident, he was taken to the Hetauda Hospital but doctors pronounced him dead at 7:30 am, District Police Office, Makwanpur spokesperson Laxmi Bhandari said.

Motorbike rider Laxman Lama (41) of Huprachaur, Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-4 was injured in the incident, police said.

He is undergoing treatment at the Chitwan Medical College for treatment.

Two persons died and four others were injured when a jeep they were traveling in met with an accident near Panchkilo of Sunkosi Rural Municipality on Saturday.

The deceased have been identified as jeep driver Uttamraj Maharjan and Bal Bahadur Khatri of Bahrabise, Sindhupalchowk, the District Police Office, Sindhupalchowk said.

The incident occurred when the jeep (Ba 15 Cha 9370) fell some 300 meters down the road last night.

The injured are undergoing treatment in Dhulikhel, police said.

Two persons died when a motorbike (Na 57 Pa 231) they were riding on hit a parked truck at Manahari Rural Municipality-9, Jyamire, Makwanpur on Monday.

The deceased have been identified as bike rider Shambhu Giri (22) and pillion rider Sushil Giri (21) of Manahari-9, DSP Tek Bahadur Karki, DSP at the District Police Office, Makwanpur said.

The bike (Na 57 Pa 231) hit the stationary truck (Na 5 Kha 7472) this morning.

Both of them died while undergoing the course of treatment at the Chitwan Medical College Bharatpur Hospital, DSP Karki said.

Police said that they have impounded the truck and arrested its driver for investigation.

A person died and another was critically injured when a bus and a motorbike collided with each other at Polyangphedi in Rupa Rural Municipality-3 of Kaski on Monday.

The bus (Ga 1 Kha 7686) heading towards Lamjung from Pokhara collided head-on with the two-wheeler (Ga 15 Pa 8483) this morning.

The deceased has been identified as bike rider Bibek BK (23) of Bhorletar, MadhyaNepal Municipality-6, Lamjung.

Dipendra BK, who was riding pillion, was seriously injured in the incident. He is undergoing treatment at the Gandaki Hospital, Pokhara.

Critically injured in the incident, both of them were taken to Gandaki Hospital, Pokhara for treatment but Bibek breathed his last during the course of treatment.

Police said that they have impounded the truck and arrested its driver Bishal Gurung for investigation.
