Tension ran high in Banepa, Kavrepalanchowk after a scooter rider died after being hit by a tipper, on Wednesday.

Police said that the tipper hit the scooter this morning. 

The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.

Following the incident, the angry mob set the tipper on fire. 

As a result, vehicular movement along the Araniko Highway has been disrupted. 

A pedestrian died after being hit by a scooter at Sangam Marga in Gaindakot Municipality-8, Nawalparasi on Saturday. 

The deceased has been identified as Lakhan Tamang (50). 

The scooter( Pradesh 3-02-014 Pa 1433) knocked him down last night. 

Critically injured in the incident, Tamang was taken to Chitawan-based Bharatpur College of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital but breathed his last during the course of treatment. 

District Police Office, Nawalparasi Information Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police, Anil Pundit, said that police have taken  scooter rider Prabin Thapa Magar (26) of Gaindakot-8 for further investigation. 

A person died and four others were injured when a car hit a rickshaw at Gitanagar in Bharatpur Metropolitan City, Chitwan on Thursday. 

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rabindra Khanal of the District Police Office, Chitwan shared that 44-year-old Min Bahadur Khatri, who was severely injured in the mishap, of Madi Municipality-7 in the district died while receiving treatment at the Chitwan Medical College, Bharatpur.  

All four injured people are being treated in the same hospital, police said.

A person died and three others injured in a car accident at Ishwarpur in Sarlahi along the East-West Highway on Wednesday. 

The deceased has been identified as 27-year-old Shubham Jaiswal of Butwal Sub-metropolitan City-1.  

The car (Lu 3 Cha 5472) was heading towards Butwal from Kakarbhitta when the incident occurred this morning. 

The injured have been identified as car driver Sahil Verma (23), Bhrikishor Verma (48) and Sanjay Jaiswal (52) of Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City-1. 

All the injured are undergoing treatment at Shubhaswastik Hospital in Bardibas. 

Among the injured, the condition of Jaiswal is reported to be critical.

Further investigation into the incident is underway.

A person died after falling off a moving tractor at Dangshree in Rishing Rural Municipality-3, Tanahun on Tuesday. 

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Shravan Kumar BK of the District Police Office, the deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Purna Bahadur Thapa of Rishing Rural Municipality-4. 

Thapa, who was seriously injured after falling off the tractor (Ga 1Ta 6294), died during the course treatment at the local Ratnahari Hospital. 

Police said that they are looking into the case. 

Two persons, including a minor died and 11 others were injured when a container truck collided with a bus at Naya Basti in Kankai Municipality-3, Jhapa along the East-West Highway on Thursday. 

The deceased have been identified as 40-year-old Sushma Rajbanshi of Bhadrapur Municipality-8 and her son 18-month-old Aarut Rajbanshi.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Khagendra Bahadur Khadka of the District Police Office, the accident occurred when the container (Me 1 Cha 4515), heading towards Maidhar from Biratamode, collided head-on with the bus (Na 5 Kha 2149) this morning. .

The condition of some of the injured is reported to be serious. 

Police are searching for the bus driver, while the container driver, Jaqeer Hussain (39) of Biratamode Municipality-6, has been taken into police custody for further investigation. 

A pedestrian died after being hit by a passenger bus at Master Chowk, Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-9, Makwanpur, along the East-West Highway on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Ram Bahadur Bohara (37) of Devdaha Municipality-8, Rupandehi.

The bus (Ba Pra 03-001 Kha 2656) was heading towards Kathmandu from Janakpur when the incident occurred last night.

Seriously injured in the accident, he was taken to the Hetauda Hospital but the doctors pronounced him dead on arrival, Deputy Superintendent of Police Pushkar Bogati, spokesperson at the District Police Office, Makwanpur said.

Police have taken the bus driver, Sujay Kumar Singh (33) of Ramgopalpur Municipality-6, Mahottari under control for investigation.

Two persons died when a scooter they were riding on hit a parked bus in Jadibuti on Friday. 

Spokesperson at the Kathmandu District Police Range, Apil Raj Bohora informed that the accident took place early this morning. 

The deceased have been identified as Nitesh Nepal (23) of Hokse, Paykhal Municipality-2 in Kavrepalanchowk and Shirish Paudel (22) of Sunwal Municipality-1 in Nawalparasi (Bardghat Susta West). 

They breathed their last during the course of treatment.

Bus driver Subash Tamang of Dolakha has been taken under control. 

Police said that they are looking into the case.

A biker died after a truck hit a motorbike he was riding on near Keraghari, Panchkhal Municipality-5 along the Araniko Highway on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Rupesh Kharel (35) of Chaurideurali Rural Municipality.

The truck hit Kharel while he was trying to overtake it, according to the Area Police Office, Panchkhal.

Kharel was rushed to the Dhulikhel Hospital, but the doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

Police have impounded the truck and arrested its driver Madhav Kumar Badal for further investigation.

A person died and another sustained injuries when a truck hit a motorcycle at Pashudanda in Damak Municipality-7 along the East-West Highway on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as pillion rider Muna Gautam (42) of Kamal Rural Municipality-5. 

Her husband Sukadev Gautam (43), who was riding the two-wheeler, was injured in the incident.

The truck laden with vegetables hit the  motorcycle (Pra1-01-012Pa 9312) this morning.

The injured one is undergoing treatment at the Damak Hospital, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Khagendra Bahadur Khadka.

Police said that they have impounded the truck and arrested its driver Angdawa Sherpa (25) of Laligurans Municipality-4, Tehrathum for investigation.

At least three persons died and 15 others were injured when a bus and a micro bus collided with each other in  Bhokraha Narsingha Rural Municipality-3, Sunsari district along the East West Highway on Monday.

The identities of the deceased are yet to be established, police said.

According to Yograj Khatiwada, spokesperson at the District Police Office, Sunsari, the incident occurred when the bus (Me 1 Kha 1799) heading to Diktel from Kakadbhitta, Jhapa district collided head-on with the micro bus (Province 2-01-001 Ja 0047) this morning.

Khatiwada said that the injured have been rushed to different hospitals in Inaruwa and Biratnagar for treatment.

Police said that they have arrested bus driver Gopal Adhikari of Arjundhara Municipality-1,  Jhapa for investigation.

A student died after being hit by a school van inside the compound of Edify International School in Kalanki, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-14 on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as nine-year-old Sonakshi Yadav of Kuleshwor, Kathmandu, DSP Apil Raj Bohara, spokesperson at the District Police Office, Kathmandu.

Seriously injured in the accident, Yadav died during the course of treatment at the Shaheed Memorial Hospital, Kalankit. 

Six persons were injured in the incident and of them five are undergoing treatment at the Nepal National Hospital and one at the Vayodha Hospital, Balkhu.

The driver of the van was also injured in the accident and is undergoing treatment at the Vayodha Hospital, Balkhu, according to police.

Further investigation into the incident is underway, said police.

Two persons died and 35 others were injured when a commuter bus and a school bus collided with each other at Bakhariya in Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-14, Dang on Sunday.

Surya Rana, spokesperson at the Area Police Office, Tulsipur, informed that the deceased have been identified as Narayan Bhandari (25) and Shanta Khadka Chaudhary of Dangisharan Rural Municipality-1.

The incident occurred when the bus (Na 4 Kha 4009) heading towards Tulsipur from Goltakuri collided head-on with the school bus (Ra 1 Ka 870) belonging to Gyanjyoti Boarding School today.

After the collision, the bus fell some 500 meters down the road, the Area Police Office, Tulsipur informed.

All the injured have been taken to Rapti Provincial Hospital, Tulsipur for treatment.

Police said that they are looking into the case.

Two women died after being knocked down by a speeding car at Basantapur in Buddhabhumi Municipality-1, Kapilvastu on Friday.

The car hit them while they were on morning walk along the Gorusinghe-Arghakhanchi road section, Police Inspector Birat Sharma Paudel of the Area Police Office, Gorusinghe said.   

The deceased have been identified as Shanta Khatri (60) and Til Kumari Rayamajhi (65). 

Critically injured in the incident, the duo breathed their last on their way to a hospital.   

Police have arrested car driver Khimraj Shrestha (32) of Sainamaina Municipality-5, Rupandehi district for investigation.

A girl died and three others were injured after being hit by a bus in Tinkune on Thursday.

The incident occurred after the bus (Ba 3 Kha 7062) en route to Ratnapark from Pepsikola hit a Maruti van and a motorcycle this morning. 

Pillion rider Nagina Tamang (23) of Nuwakot died in the course of treatment, said Apil Raj Bohara, spokesperson at the District Police Range, Kathmandu.

Motorbike rider Padam Thapa Magar (27) of Doramba,  Ramechhap, van driver Ratna Bahadur Sarki (35) of Mandandeupur, Kavrepalanchowk and Menuka Budhathoki (24))of Gaurishankar, Dolakha were injured in the accident. 

Police have arrested bus driver Ram Kumar Khadka for investigation.

A person died  and three others were injured in a car accident at Charkose forest between Dharan and Itahari, Sunsari.

The car (Ba Pra 01-030Cha 4618) was heading towards Itahari from Dharan when the incident took place, said District Police Spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police Yograj Khatiwada.

Bishnu Raut (40) of Itahari-1, who was seriously injured in the accident, died during the course of treatment at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan.

Others injured in the accident include driver Bibek Lama (30) of Ramdhuni Municipality-7, Sunsari, Ganga Basnet (43) of Itahari-4, and Kalyan Katwal (31) of Itahari-1.

Lama and Basnet are in normal condition but Katwal has been referred to Birat Medical College in Biratnagar for further treatment.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident in Surkhet, a pedestrian died after being hit by a police vehicle this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Kali Bahadur Budha (55) of Hima Rural Municipality-4, Jumla.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Birendra Bir Bishwakarma, Chief of the District Police Office, Surkhet said that he was hit by the vehicle  (Ka Pra 01-001 Kha 0915).
