Nepse surges by 12. 57 points on Thursday

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) gained 12. 57 points to close at 1, 978. 94 points on Thursday.

Similarly, the sensitive index surged by 2. 93 points to close at 381. 83 points.

Meanwhile, a total of 3, 594, 594 unit shares of 221 companies were traded for Rs 1. 18 billion.

In today’s market, all sub-indices saw green except for Investment.

At the end of the day, total market capitalisation stood at Rs 2. 82 trillion.

Global IME Bank, Bank of Kathmandu sign merger pact

The Global IME Bank and the Bank of Kathmandu have decided to merge. 

The two banks signed a merger agreement at Hotel Yak and Yeti on Thursday.

Chairman of the Global IME Bank Chandra Prasad Dhakal and Chairman of the Bank of Kathmandu Prakash Shrestha signed the agreement this morning.

It has been agreed that the new bank will be called Global IME BoK Limited and the Board of Directors will have five members including Chairman Dhakal from the Global IME Bank and two members from the Bank of Kathmandu.

Similarly, it has been agreed that the Ratnaraj Bajracharya will be the Chief Executive Officer. 

He is the Chief Executive Officer of the Global IME Bank. 

Meanwhile, the Nepal Stock Exchange suspended the trading of shares of both the banks following the merger agreement.

Nepse plunges by 29. 89 points on Wednesday

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index plunged by 29. 89 points to close at 1,966.37 points on Wednesday.

Similarly, the sensitive index fell 4. 60 points to reach 378. 90 points.

A total of 4,182,369 units of shares of 229 companies were traded for Rs 1.49 billion.

Likewise, all sub-indices saw red in today’s market. Life insurance topped the chart with 189. 58 points.

At the end of the day, total market civilization stands at Rs 2. 80 trillion.

Nepse plunges by 36. 08 points on Tuesday

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index plunged by 36. 08 points to close at 1,996.25 points on Tuesday.

Similarly, the sensitive index fell 6. 48 points to reach 383.51 points.

A total of 4,147,255 units of shares of 232 companies were traded for Rs 1.18 billion.

Likewise, all sub-indices saw red in today’s market. Non-Life insurance topped the chart with 242.73 points.
