Suicide bombing in Islamabad kills 12, says Pakistan's interior minister
A suicide attack outside a court in Pakistan's capital Islamabad has killed 12 people and injured at least 27 others, the country's interior minister said, BBC reported.
Mohsin Naqvi said a bomber was planning to attack the district courthouse but was unable to get inside.
Naqvi said authorities would prioritise identifying the bomber, and that those involved would be brought to justice, according to BBC.
Madhes Province Chief Karna takes oath of office and secrecy
President Ram Chandra Paudel administered the oath of office and secrecy to Surendra Labh Karna, the newly-appointed Province Chief of the Madhes Province, amidst a special ceremony organized at the Office of the President, Shital Niwas today.
Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Sushila Karki, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, ministers, and the heads and officials of constitutional bodies were present on the occasion.
The meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Monday recommended to the President the name of Karna of Dhanusha for appointment as the Chief of Madhes Province.
Nepse surges by 3. 21 points on Tuesday
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) gained 3. 21 points to close at 2, 565. 16 points on Tuesday.
Thw sensitive index, however, dropped by 0. 19 points to close at 444. 37 points.
A total of 7,947,058-unit shares of 327 companies were traded for Rs 3. 62 billion.
Meanwhile, Shine Resunga Debenture (SHINED) and Bandipur Cablecar and Tourism Limited (BANDIPUR) were the top gainers today, with their price surging by 10. 00 percent.
Likewise, 10.25% Nepal SBI Bank Debenture 2083 (SBID83) was the top loser as its price fell by 9. 39 percent.
At the end of the day, total market capitalization stood at Rs 1. 45 trillion.
UML organizes public demonstrations in all 753 local units
The CPN-UML organized public demonstrations in all 753 municipalities of the country on Tuesday, demanding the reinstatement of the dissolved House of Representatives.
The UML has the program of holding rallies and corner assemblies in the presence of local leaders and activists in the municipalities.
According to Rajendra Gautam, head of the central publicity and publication department of the party, public rallies and demonstrations were organized at all municipal levels from the morning to defend the constitution and democracy.
Gautam said ward assemblies have already been completed in all 6,743 wards of the country on November 8, and that preparations are being made to hold district-level public demonstrations on November 15.
Similarly, he said, a public demonstration would be organized in Kathmandu on November 22.
Gold price increases by Rs 4, 900 per tola on Tuesday
The price of gold has increased by Rs 4, 900 per tola in the domestic market on Tuesday.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the precious yellow metal is being traded at Rs 246, 400 per tola today. It was traded at Rs 241, 400 per tola on Monday.
Similarly, the silver is being traded at Rs 3, 170 per tola today.
Sinner storms past Auger-Aliassime to begin ATP Finals defence

De Ligt receives vote of confidence from Koeman
Defender Matthijs de Ligt is deserving of his recall to the Netherlands squad after several strong performances for Manchester United, said Dutch coach Ronald Koeman on Monday, Reuters reported.
De Ligt, who scored a late equaliser against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday, returns to the squad in place of Inter Milan's Stefan de Vrij, who has been dropped for World Cup qualifiers against Poland and Lithuania.

Liverpool face huge uphill battle after City loss, says Robertson
Liverpool defender Andy Robertson conceded his side have a huge task on their hands in the Premier League title race after falling eight points behind leaders Arsenal on Sunday but the Scot said it was far too soon to push the panic button, Reuters reported.
The defending champions' 3-0 loss to Manchester City left them eighth after 11 games while Arsenal, runners-up for the last three seasons, have opened up a four-point lead.
