According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, tejabi gold is being traded at Rs 110, 550 per tola.

Similarly, the silver is being traded at Rs 1,375 per tola today.

 

Gold price drops by Rs 200 per tola on Friday

The price of gold has dropped by Rs 200 per tola in the domestic market on Friday.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the precious yellow metal is being traded at Rs 111, 100 per tola today. It was traded at Rs 111, 300 per tola on Thursday.

Meanwhile, tejabi gold is being traded at Rs 110, 550 per tola. It was traded at Rs 110, 750 per tola.

Similarly, the price of silver has dropped by Rs 5 and is being traded at Rs 1,370 per tola today.

Gold price drops by Rs 100 per tola on Wednesday

The price of gold has dropped by Rs 100 per tola in the domestic market on Wednesday.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the percious yellow metal is being traded at Rs 112, 000 per tola today. It was traded at Rs 112, 100 per tola on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, tejabi gold is being traded at Rs 111, 450 per tola. It was traded at Rs 111, 550.

Similarly, the price of silver has dropped by Rs 10 and is being traded at Rs 1,390 per tola today.  

 

Gold price drops by Rs 300 per tola on Tuesday

The price of gold has dropped by Rs 300 per tola in the domestic market on Tuesday.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the yellow bullion is being traded at Rs 112, 100 per tola today. It was traded at Rs 112, 400 per tola on Monday.

Meanwhile, tejabi gold is being traded at Rs 111, 550 per tola. It was traded at Rs 111, 850 per tola.

Similarly, the price of silver has dropped by Rs 25 and is being traded at Rs 1,400 per tola today.

 

Seven tola abandoned gold found in Baitadi

Police have found around seven tola gold in an abandoned state at Khodape in Patan Municipality-8 of Baitadi on Sunday.

The yellow metal was recovered from a bus (SuPaPra 02001 Kha 1301) heading towards Darchula from Kathmandu yesterday.

Police said that the gold was recovered from a bag the bus staffers had left at the entry post of the Khadape Police Post.

It has been learnt that the relatives of a local of Patan-8 had sent medicines in the bag from Kathmandu. Police said that they have kept the bag in a secured place.

A team deployed from the Area Police Office, Patan under the command of Inspector Kamal Prasad Chaudhary had recovered the gold. The gold has been taken to the Area Police Office, Patan.

Police said that they are looking into the case.

Probe committee formed to look into recent gold smuggling case

The Customs Department has formed a probe committee to investigate the recent gold smuggling case.

A six-member probe committee was formed under the headship of Man Bahadur Poudel, Director at the Investigation Section of the Customs Department, said Information Officer Punya Bikram Khadka.

The investigation committee has been directed to submit its report within five days. 

Director General of the Department Shova Kanta Poudel formed the probe committee today to look into the incident.

The Department of Revenue Investigation had seized around 100 kg gold from Sinamangal on Wednesday. 

Six persons have been arrested in connection with the case so far.
