Partly cloudy to rainfall has been forecast for today in various parts of the country. 

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, it will be generally cloudy in mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces, as well as in remaining mountainous areas. 

Partly cloudy has been expected in hilly areas of Madhes, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces, while there will be mainly fair in the remaining areas of Tarai. 

Similarly, moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning, along with snowfall,  is likely in a few places in the mountainous and hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, as well as at one or two places in the remaining mountainous and hilly regions.   

Hot weather is likely to prevail in some places of the Tarai region in Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpashim Provinces. 

Tonight, it will be generally cloudy in mountainous areas of Koshi Province, partly cloudy in hilly regions, and mainly fair in the Tarai. 

Light rainfall/ snowfall, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is likely in a few places of  Koshi Province,  the mountainous and hilly areas of  Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces , and the mountainous areas of Karnali Province, the Division states.
