The Council of Ministers in Madhes Province was reshuffled on Thursday.
Province Chief Surendra Labh Karn reshuffled the council of ministers of Madhes Province on the recommendation of Chief Minister Krishna Prasad Yadav as per Article 168 (9) of the Constitution of Nepal, according to a press statement released by the Spokesperson of the Chief of the Office of Madhes Province, Sanjip Kumar Dubbe.
As per the new portfolio division of Cabinet members, Chief Minister Yadav would also take charge of the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Education and Culture, Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development and Sports, and Ministry of Social Welfare.
Likewise, Jangi Lal Yadav is now Minister for Health and Population and Jawaharlal Kushwaha as the Minister for Energy, Irrigation and Drinking Water.
Similarly, Kanish Patel was appointed as Minister for Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Shankar Prasad Chaudhary as Minister for Forests and Environment and Shyam Prasad Patel as Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperative, while Phakira Mahato as Minister for Home, Communications and Law.
According to the statement, Mahammad Samir was appointed as the minister without portfolio.
The newly-appointed ministers were administered the oath of office and secrecy from the Province Chief at the Office of the Province Chief on Thursday.
