APAC IPv6 meet concludes in Nepal

The fourth APAC IPv6 Council Meet concluded on Friday, highlighting its potential to strengthen Nepal’s digital infrastructure and internet ecosystem.

The two-day international conference, organized by Subisu Limited, focused on key issues such as IPv6-powered AI data centers, cybersecurity, and Nepal’s digital roadmap. Experts from across the Asia-Pacific region shared insights on IPv6 development and implementation.

A major outcome of the event was a cooperation agreement between Subisu Limited and the APAC IPv6 Council, aimed at promoting IPv6 adoption in Nepal. The agreement was signed by Prof. Emeritus Sureshwaran Ramdas and CEO Binay Mohan Saud.

Speakers at the conference included representatives from ICANN, CN Labs, Sanima Bank, and the IPv6 Forum, who discussed implementation challenges and opportunities across sectors.

Officials said the event supports the government’s “Digital Nepal” initiative. Bhupendra Bhandari, Chairperson of the Nepal Telecommunication Authority, noted that the conference would help expand connectivity and accelerate IPv6 adoption in the country.

Organizers said the conference marks an important step toward modernizing Nepal’s digital infrastructure and aligning it with global technological standards.
