Balkrishna Basnet has been appointed as the Editor-in-Chief of the Annapurna Post, sister publication of The Annapurna Express.

Annapurna Media Network appointed Basnet as the Editor-in-Chief of the Annapurna Post amidst a function on Tuesday.

Captain Rameshwor Thapa, Chairman of the Annapurna Media Network, welcomed the newly appointed Editor-in-Chief, Basnet, at the AMN’s headquarters in Tinkune this afternoon.

During the same event, outgoing Annapurna Post Editor-in-Chief Akhanda Bhandari was bid farewell. 

Chairman Thapa extended best wishes to Bhandari for his future endeavors.

Newly appointed Editor-in-Chief Basnet is also the former chairman of the Press Council.

Basnet, a permanent resident of Dolakha, has a master's degree in mass communication and journalism and has previously worked for a long period at Kantipur Daily.
