CPN-UML Secretary Raghubir Mahaseth has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Dhanusha-4. He defeated Nepali Congress candidate Mahendra Yadav by a margin of 124 votes. Mahaseth secured 32, 236 votes while his closest contender Yadav garnered 32,112 votes.
