Dortmund stage late three-goal comeback to beat Hamburg 3-2

Borussia Dortmund missed a penalty but scored three goals in ​11 minutes late in the second half to race back from 2-0 down and snatch a 3-2 victory over visitors Hamburg ​SV on Saturday, Reuters reported.

The hosts, in second ​place on 61 points, stayed nine ⁠behind leaders Bayern Munich with seven ​matches remaining.

Dortmund found themselves 2-0 down in ​the first half with Hamburg taking a 19th minute lead through Philip Otele's tap-in and Albert ​Sambi Lokongo doubling it in the ​38th, according to Reuters. 

Welbeck dents Liverpool's Champions League hopes in Brighton, Everton thrash Chelsea 3-0

Liverpool's push for a Champions League place took another hit as Danny ​Welbeck struck in each half to give Brighton & Hove Albion a deserved 2-1 Premier League win on Saturday, the reigning champions' 10th league defeat of a faltering season, Reuters reported. 

Everton kept alive their European hopes with a commanding 3-0 thrashing of Chelsea to hand the visitors a fourth straight defeat in all competitions, while Fulham came back from a goal down to beat struggling Burnley 3-1.

Brentford could manage only a 0-0 draw at ​Leeds United in a missed opportunity to boost their chances of European football next season, according to Reuters. 

Mendes guides PSG to top of Ligue 1 with 4-0 win at Nice

Nuno Mendes scored a first-half penalty and provided an assist for Desire Doue as Paris Saint-Germain moved back ​to the top of Ligue 1 with a resounding ‌4-0 victory at struggling 10-man Nice on Saturday, Reuters reported. 

PSG move to 60 points from 26 games, one more than second-placed Lens who won 5-1 at Angers on ​Friday, and have a game in hand. Nice are on ​27 points from 27 games, five points above the ⁠relegation zone.

After missing several chances, the visitors took the lead ​on 42 minutes when Nice defender Morgan Sanson was adjudged to ​have handled the ball in the box from Doue’s shot, according to Reuters. 

Goalkeeper Ochoa returns to Mexican squad for World Cup warm-ups

Long-serving goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa returned to the Mexico roster on Thursday, earning a call-up from coach Javier Aguirre for this month's World Cup warm-up matches against Portugal and Belgium, Reuters reported. 

The 40-year-old Ochoa, who plays for Limassol in Cyprus, is hoping to appear in his sixth World Cup after featuring in five straight editions from 2006 through the most recent tournament in Qatar.

He had not been called up since May 2025, when he was named to the Gold Cup squad but did not play, according to Reuters.
