RPP Gen Secy Dhawal Shumsher Rana emerges victorious from Banke-2

Rastriya Prajatantra Party General Secretary Dhawal Shumsher Rana has won the election to the House of Representatives from Banke-2. According to the Election Commission, he emerged victorious by securing 27, 577 votes. He defeated Mohammad Istiyak Raye of Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal with a margin of 6, 057 votes. Raye garnered 23, 520 votes. Banke is considered as the stronghold of the Nepali Congress. However, Nepali Congress candidate Sudeep Nursingh Rana obtained just 4, 403 votes.

NC’s Santosh Chalise elected HoR member from Kathmandu-3

Nepali Congress candidate Santosh Chalise has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Kathmandu-3. He secured 15, 158 votes while his closest contender Krishna Rai of the CPN-UML garnered 11, 196 votes. Rastriya Swatantra Party candidate Durga Bikram Thapa got 5, 865 votes.    

Independent candidate Sabita Gautam wins in Kathmandu-2 with a margin of 3, 674 votes

Independent candidate Sobita Gautam has emerged victorious in Kathmandu-2. She won the election by defeating Maniram Phuyal of the CPN-UML with a margin of 3, 674 votes. According to the Election Commission, Gautam garnered 15, 229 votes while her closest contender Phuyal secured 11, 555 votes. Rastriya Prajatantra Party’s Kunti Devi got 11, 014 votes. A common candidate of the alliance, Onsari Gharti Magar of the CPN (Maoist Center) obtained 9, 449 votes.  

Pradeep Paudel emerges victorious in Kathmandu-5

Nepali Congress candidate Pradeep Paudel has emerged victorious in Kathmandu-5. He defeated CPN-UML senior Vice-Chairman Ishwor Pokharel. Paudel secured 15, 065 votes to emerge victorious. His closest contender Pokharel garnered 10, 172 votes.
