NC leader Paudel contesting from Tanahun-1

Nepali Congress has finalized the candidates for November 20 elections to the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly. In this regard, the ruling party has decided to nominate its senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel as its candidate from Tanahun constituency-1. Similarly, central member and former minister Shanker Bhandari as the candidate from constituency-2. It may be noted that the Nepali Congress has decided to make Pradeep Poudel its candidate from Kathmandu constituency-5.

2.9 million voters in Madhesh Province

There are 2.91 million voters eligible to vote in Madhesh Province in the November 20 elections to the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly. Under Secretary and Assistant Spokesperson of the Election Commission Surya Prasad Aryal said that there are 2,910,023 voters in Madhesh Province. These are voters who have been registered in the voters list and will reach the age of 18 by November 19. Those who have reached the age of 18 and registered their names in the voter's will be allowed to vote for 32 members of the House of Representatives and 64 Provincial Assembly members in eight districts. Among the total voters, there are 1.33 million women and 1.57 million men and 66 other voters in the province.

Dahal to leave Chitwan-3, Maoist decides Gorkha-2 for him

CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal is going to leave Chitwan-3 in the Nov 20 election. The office bearer meeting of the Maoist has decided to make him a candidate from Gorkha-2. He chose the area where Baburam Bhattarai was fighting earlier. Bhattarai announced that he will not be a candidate this time just a few days ago. Dahal won the 2017 House of Representatives election from Chitwan-3.

Ruling coalition meeting in Baluwatar to finalize seat allocation

The meeting of the top leaders of five-party ruling alliance has started in Baluwatar to discuss the distribution of constituencies for the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly elections. It is believed that the meeting will discuss and finalize the report sent by the five-party working group. Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) president Upendra Yadav informed that the meeting has started today as well, continuing the daily meeting for the distribution of constituencies. The candidate registration schedule has been fixed for the elections of the House of Representatives and the Provincial Assembly on Sunday, October 9. Before that, the alliance should divide the constituencies and the parties should nominate candidates. Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, Janata Samajwadi Party Chairman Upendra Yadav, Rastriya Janamorcha Party Vice-chairman Durga Paudel and other top leaders are in the meeting.
