Mass protests against Trump across US as president holds huge military parade
Protests against President Donald Trump have taken place in towns and cities across the US, organised by a group called "No Kings", BBC reported.
The demonstrations were held to counter a rare military parade hosted by Trump in Washington DC, and came after days of protests in Los Angeles and elsewhere over his immigration policies.
Lawmakers, union leaders and activists gave speeches in cities including New York, Philadelphia and Houston to crowds waving American flags and placards critical of Trump.
The military parade on Saturday evening, also Trump's birthday, was timed to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the US Army. He warned that any protests at the parade would be met with "heavy force", according to BBC.
Three workers injured in Panchthar bailey bridge collapse die
Three workers, who were injured in the bailey bridge collapse, died last night.
The bridge was being constructed over the Henwa river in Paanchthar along the Mechi Highway.
The deceased have been identified as Ruplal Chaudhary (22), Rajan Chaudhary (27) and Rakesh Chaudhary ( 22), of Simara Sub-Metropolitan City-12, Bara, according to Kaushal Kumar Budhathoki, Chief at the District Police Office.
They died during the course of treatment at Nobel Medical College and Teaching Hospital, Biratnagar, where they had been referred for further treatment by the District Hospital, Paanchthar.
The Road Division Office, Ilam was constructing a 70-meter-long modular bailey bridge on the Henwa river.
The bailey bridge was provided as a grant by the Government of India and the construction and installation of the structure was being carried out by Super Saugat Light Builders JV at a cost of Rs 34.9 million.
Weather to remain partly to generally cloudy across the country

Tonight, the weather will continue to remain partly to generally cloudy across the country. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at some places in Koshi, Madhesh, Gandaki and Sudurpaschim Provinces and a few places in the rest of the region.

Annapurna Media Network on Saturday organized an 'EV Rally' to raise awareness about climate change and reducing air pollution.
Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel inaugurated the fourth edition of the AMN 'EV Rally' organized at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu today.
The rally, which started from Bhrikutimandap passed through Bhadrakali, Tripureshwor, Teku, Kalimati, Soltimod, Kalanki, Balkhu, Dhobighat, Ekantakuna, Jawalakhel, Kupandol and Tripureshwor before converging into a gathering at Bhrikutimandap.
Gold price increases by Rs 4, 200 per tola on Friday
The price of gold has increased by Rs 4, 200 per tola in the domestic market on Friday.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the precious yellow metal is being traded at Rs 197, 100 per tola today. It was traded at Rs 192, 900 per tola on Thursday.
Similarly, the silver is being traded at Rs 2, 165 per tola today.
Sujan Kadariya elected ANNFSU Chair
Sujan Kadariya has been elected as the Chairman of All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU).
He defeated his nearest rival Prakash Paudel by a margin of seven votes.
In the vote count that concluded last night, Kadariya won the election by securing 732 votes.
The ANNFSU is the student wing of the ruling CPN-UML.
Anjana Siwakoti and Bikash Shrestha were elected as vice chair and Dipak Dhami as general Secretary.
Durga Prasain among seven sent to judicial custody
The Kathmandu District Court on Thursday issued an order to send Durga Prasain and six others to judicial custody on the charge of inciting criminal activities in the Capital City.
A single bench of District Judge Dhruba Raj Karki issued an order to send Prasain and six others to judicial custody for their roles in the Tinkune incident.
Two persons including a photo journalist at Avenues Television Suresh Rajak had died during the violent demonstration of pro-monarchy protesters in Tinkune on May 28.
Likewise, the court has ordered to release 32 others on bail in the same case.
Heavy rainfall predicted in some provinces
Some parts of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces and some areas in the eastern part of Lumbini Province are experiencing the impacts of monsoon winds at present, according to the Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
Also there is an influence of the westerly winds in the western parts of the country.
According to the Division, there will be partially to generally cloudy weather across the country today.
There is a chance of light to moderate rainfall along with thunder and lightning in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces.
Likewise, heavy rain is likely at one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces.
Similarly, some areas of Koshi, Madhes, Gandaki and Sudurpaschim Provinces will receive light to moderate rain along with thunder and lightning tonight.
Heavy rainfall is predicted in one or two places of Koshi Province, according to the Division.
