Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa has criticized Prime Minister Balen Shah for saying that Nepal has also encroached India’s land in the House of Representatives on Sunday. Speaking at a program organized by the Nepali Congress’s Policy, Research and Training Institute on Monday, Thapa objected to what PM Shah had said.
Saying that countries have a definite stance on sensitive issues, Thapa said, “Countries have their own stances, and there is some evidence and statements behind it where the PM’s statement has weakened it.”
He commented that Shah’s statement has weakened the possibility of resolving the issue with the neighbors through diplomatic means.
