The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) surged by 8. 78 points to close at 2, 712. 86 points on Tuesday. 

Similarly, the sensitive index dropped by 1. 26 points to close at 462. 32 points.

A total of 7,734,012-unit shares of 335 companies were traded for Rs 1. 54 billion.

Meanwhile, Upper Lohore Khola Hydropower Company Limited (ULHC) was the top gainer today with its price surging by 11. 16 percent.

Similarly, Forward Microfinance Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (FOWAD) was the top loser as its price fell by 9. 31 points. 

At the end of the day, the total market capitalization stood at Rs 4. 62 trillion.
