Similarly, the sensitive index dropped by 4. 41 points to close at 477. 46 points.
A total of 20,743,884-unit shares of 342 companies were traded for Rs 1. 61 billion.
Meanwhile, Ridge Line Energy Limited (RLEL) and Suryakunda Hydro Electric Limited (SKHEL) were the top gainers today with their price surging by 10. 00 percent.
Likewise, Sindhu Bikash Bank Ltd (SINDU) was the top loser as their price fell by 9. 47 percent.
At the end of the day, the total market capitalization stood at Rs 4. 83 trillion.
