The government has decided to reintroduce a two-day weekend—Saturday and Sunday.

A Cabinet meeting held on Sunday decided to grant two days off to all government offices and educational institutions amid rising prices of petroleum products, Minister for Education and government spokesperson Samit Pokharel said. 

The move comes to reduce the consumption of fuel, according to him.
