Rastriya Swatantra Party Vice President DP Aryal has been elected as the Speaker of the House of Representatives on Sunday. 

The announcement was made  at a meeting of the House of Representatives held this afternoon. 

Senior member of the Parliament Arjun Narsingh KC announced that Aryal was elected unopposed.

He will take the oath of office and secrecy today itself.
