Former Energy Minister and Nepali Congress leader Deepak Gyawali was admitted to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital at around 3am on Monday, where he is currently receiving treatment in bed number 1029.
Khadka was arrested on Sunday and was taken to custody earlier on Sunday, and the court has granted permission to detain him for seven days for investigation.
Home Minister, Sudan Gurung stated that Khadka was arrested in connection with the investigation into money recovered from his residence during the GenZ movement on Sept 9.
The Money Laundering Investigation Department is probing the case, particularly focusing on burnt cash reportedly found at Khadka’s house. Officials had earlier collected pieces of burnt currency notes and ashes from the site as part of the investigation.
