Dusit Thani Himalayan Resort recently hosted a dinner event in New Delhi for leading Indian wedding planners and selected media representatives. The event aimed to introduce the Indian wedding industry to Nepal as a destination for luxury weddings. Wedding curators, luxury event designers, and media professionals attended the gathering.
Located in Dhulikhel, the resort offers 72 rooms, suites, and private villas designed for family stays and wedding groups. The property features venues for wedding events, including the Ballroom for large receptions and the Lawn for outdoor ceremonies. Smaller spaces are also available for traditional functions such as mehendi, haldi, and sangeet.
Resort officials said destination weddings can include multi-day celebrations with customized menus and wellness experiences. Guests can also take part in activities such as yoga, meditation, and visits to nearby spiritual sites including Namo Buddha. According to the resort’s management, growing air connectivity between Nepal and Indian cities such as New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Varanasi makes travel easier for wedding guests.
