NC's Karki elected HoR member from Solukhumbu

Nepali Congress candidate Prakash Singh Karki has been elected to the House of Representatives from Solukhumbu.

According to the final results of the vote counting, Karki received 13,166 votes while his competitor, Asim Rai of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP), got 9,414 votes.

The election office stated that CPN-UML candidate Kalpana Rai secured 8,228 votes, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Rishidhan Rai obtained 3,642 votes, and Labor Culture Party's BS Rai got 3,363 votes.

 Out of a total of 85,515 voters, 41,401 votes were cast in the House of Representatives elections in Solukhumbu held on March 5.
