NC's Rana wins in Palpa-1

NC candidate Sandeep Rana has won the House of Representatives election in Palpa Constituency No. 1. 

Rana secured 18,336 votes, defeating UML candidate Narayan Prasad Acharya by 1,517 votes. Acharya received 16,819 votes, while Bimal Pant of the RSP received 14,333 votes.

The last Congress victory in Palpa-1 was in 1992 when Kaluram Rana won after the 1989 people’s movement. Since then, UML candidates had been winning the seat until this election.
