Germany commits €100m to Lebanon

Germany will provide nearly €100m ($108m) in additional humanitarian aid for Lebanon. The funding targets the rising number of internally displaced people amid ongoing Israeli strikes, Aljazeera reported.

The German Foreign Office announced the support on social media, citing the worsening situation in the region.

Germany also withdrew additional Bundeswehr troops from the Middle East. UNIFIL soldiers are being pulled out over security concerns during the seventh day of the Israeli–US war on Iran.
