In the vote counting so far under the House of Representatives (HoR) polls- 2026, five women have emerged victorious.
Among them, majority or four candidates are from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) that has so far won the highest seats, leading in many constituencies and one is from the Nepali Congress (NC)
Those elected area Ranju Neupane 'Darshana' (15,455 votes) from Kathmandu-1, Rubina Acharya (55,513) from Morang-6, Bina Gurung (37,750) from Kaski-3 and Komal Gyawali (17,826) from Kailali-1. They all represent the RSP.
Likewise, NC candidate Basana Thana (12,372) emerged victorious from Dailekh-1.
During the ongoing vote counts, RSP candidates Sobita Gautam (Chitwan-3), Dr Toshima Karki (Lalitpur-3), Indira Rana Magar (Jhapa-2), Nisha Dangi (Jhapa-1), Nitima Bhandari (Sarlahi-1), Ashika Tamang (Dhading-1), Pushpa Kumari Chaudhary (Saptari-1) and Gauri Kumari (Mahottari-4) take the lead.
According to the EC, final results for 45 constituencies have been declared, while counts are underway for 118 constituencies. The voting under the HoR snap polls-2026 for 165 direct seats and 110 for proportional representation seats were held on March 5.
