CPN-UML candidate Ain Bahadur Mahar has won the House of Representatives (HoR) election in Bajhang. Mahar defeated the Nepali Congress candidate Prakash Rasaili Snehi by a margin of 2,239 votes.
Out of a total of 57,994 votes cast in the elections held on Thursday, Mahar received 18,543 votes, while his closest rival Rasaili received 16,304 votes.
Similarly, Shailesh Kumar Singh, the candidate of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, received 9,263 votes, whereas Min Bahadur Kunwar, the candidate of the Nepali Communist Party, received 9,757 votes, said Chief Election Officer Suwarna Man Banepali.
Similarly, the chief election officer Banepali stated that the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) candidate Bharat Mall received 504 votes, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party candidate Bishwo Prakash Jethara 405, and the Nepal Workers and Peasants Party candidate Dal Bahadur Bohara 41 votes.
