The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is leading in 70 constituencies according to the vote count released under the House of Representatives election held Thursday.
According to the Election Commission, vote counting is currently in progress in 94 constituencies and by 2 pm today, the RSP is leading in 70 constituencies, while Nepali Congress, CPN (UML) and Nepali Communist Party each are leading in six places.
Similarly, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party, the Pragatisheel Lokatantrik Party and the Shram Sanskriti Party, as well as independent candidates, are ahead in one constituency each.
So far, one candidate from RSP and one from the Nepali Congress have been victorious.
RSP's candidate Ranju Darshana has won from Kathmandu Constituency No. 1 with 15,455 votes, and Congress's Yogesh Gauchan Thakali has won from Mustang with 3,307 votes.
