Workers gave a seven-day strike notice last week. They cited problems in implementing a collective bargaining agreement. They are demanding better pay, improved benefits and safer working conditions.

The strike has disrupted operations at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. The airport is a key hub for regional and international travel, trade and tourism.
