The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) plunged by 22. 58 points to close at 2, 505. 58 points on Wednesday.
Similarly, the sensitive index dropped by 2. 92 points to close at 4397. 02 points.
A total of 7,611,660-unit shares of 318 companies were traded for Rs 3. 10 billion.
Meanwhile, Samata Gharelu Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMATA) was the top gainer today with its price surging by 6. 93 percent.
Likewise, Samaj Laghubittya Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SAMAJ) and Bindhyabasini Hydropower Development Company Limited (BHDC) were the top losers as their price fell by 10. 00 percent.
At the end of the day, the total market capitalization stood at Rs 1. 42 trillion.
