Police have arrested two persons for their alleged involvement in murdering a man at Chandeshwori in Tokha on Thursday.
The suspects have been identified as Ganesh Lama (27) of Udayapur and Khup Bahadur Tamang (40) of Sindhuli.
The duo killed Ram Limbu (40) of Panchthar, currently residing at Chandeshwori, Tokha, by attacking with an iron rod.
District Police Range, Kathmandu spokesperson Pawan Kumar Bhattarai said that Limbu was murdered on Thursday night.
According to Bhattarai, Limbu, Lama and Tamang are friends and used to work together.
Police said that they, who were working as laborers at Ramesh Joshi’s land in Chandeshwari, Tokha, had consumed alcohol in a hut at the same location.
Preliminary investigation suggests that the two attacked Limbu with an iron rod following a dispute over financial transactions.
Limbu, who was critically injured in the attack, was rushed to the Trauma Center but breathed his last during the course of treatment at 1 am today.
