Indian climber Shradha Gupta successfully scales Mt Manaslu

Indian climber Shradha Gupta successfully summited Mount Manaslu at 8: 06 am on September 26, 2025.

She was accompanied by her guide Tenji Sherpa with Nirmal Purja’s Elite Exped company to climb the world’s eight highest mountain (8163 meters).

Manaslu is one of the famed peaks which are above an altitude of 8000m in what climbers called the death zone.

Gupta, a resident of Dubai, UAE and heads the corporate business for Singaporean Bank - DBS Bank for the Middle East, started climbing only three years ago after rediscovering her love for hiking post pandemic.

Gupta summited three of the seven summits - Kilimanjaro, Elbrus and Aconcagua since then, as well as undertook the trek to the Everest Base Camp. This is her first 8000m peak.
