NC President Deuba stresses on seeking solution to political crisis thru constitution

Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has extended best wishes, saying Durga Bhawani would bless everyone with self-confidence and determination to overcome the difficult circumstances facing the nation. 

In a message of best wishes on the occasion of Bada Dashain today, Deuba said that the solution of the existing political crisis should be sought through the constitution as the constitution is the supreme law of the country.

"Nepal is a multi-ethnic, multi-religious, multi-cultural and multi-lingual nation.  The deep-rooted sense of brotherhood among us has fostered unique unity in diversity. This unity is the characteristics and identity of Nepalis. Every Dashain continues to strengthen unity among communities, institutions, families and individuals," reads the message.

Extending tribute to all youths and security personnel who lost their lives during the Gen-Z protest organized on September 8 and 9, NC President Deuba expressed condolences to the bereaved families and wished the injured ones a speedy recovery. 

He expressed sorrow over the vandalism, robbery and arson on Sheetal Niwas, Singha Durbar, Parliament Building, Supreme Court, other government offices, private houses and rented room of political leaders, property of general people as well as robbery on government offices, commercial buildings by a criminal group during the protest on September 9.

The NC President described this act as a very unfortunate and tragic event in Nepal's history, stressing that the constitution should give solution to political complexities that surfaced in any special situation as the constitution is the supreme law of the country.
