9 Gen Z protesters killed in clash with police in New Baneshwor

At least nine Gen Z protesters killed in a clash with police in New Baneshwor on Monday.

Hospital sources said that six people died at the National Trauma Center, two at the Civil Hospital, and one at the KMC Hospital.

Among the 40 people, who were injured during the Gen Z protest, being treated at the Trauma Center, one is in critical condition. The health condition of 15 injured is normal.

Similarly, 10 injured people are being treated at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj.

Police fired water cannons, tear gas, and rubber bullets after protests in Baneshwor turned violent.

Some security personnel were also injured during the protest.

The Gen Z youths have been protesting against corruption and ban on social media.
