North Korea's Kim inspects new missile production line

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un inspected a new missile production line designed to enhance the combat readiness of the country’s missile units, Reuters reported. The move comes ahead of his planned visit to Beijing to attend a military parade with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Despite international sanctions on its nuclear and missile programs, North Korea has received growing support from Russia and China. Separately, Pyongyang has reportedly supplied Russian forces with soldiers, artillery, and missiles for the conflict in Ukraine, and criticized a joint cybersecurity statement by the US, Japan, and South Korea, calling it a geopolitical weaponization of cyberspace, according to Reuters.
