At least 17 Nepalis have gone missing in the floods that hit the Harsil area of Uttarkashi in Uttarakhand, India on Tuesday afternoon.
Taking to social media on Friday, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli informed that more than 17 Nepali nationals have gone missing in the floods.
Prime Minister Oli, who is on a visit to Turkmenistan, expressed grief over the huge loss of life and property due to floods in Uttarakhand.
“There are reports that more than 17 Nepali nationals have gone missing in the floods. Diplomatic discussions were held through the embassy for their immediate rescue. I pay tribute to all those who lost their lives in the floods and landslides and pray that the families find strength in this hard time.”
