A person died after being struck by lightning at Garuda Municipality -1 in Rautahat on Sunday.

 Police have identified the deceased as local Siyaram Baniya (65). 

Baniya, who was seriously injured in the incident, was rushed to the Province Hospital, Gaur. 

However, he breathed his last in the course of treatment, according to SP Deepak Kumar Raya of the District Police Office.
