Three workers injured in Panchthar bailey bridge collapse die

Three workers, who were injured in the bailey bridge collapse, died last night. 

The bridge was being constructed over the Henwa river in Paanchthar along the Mechi Highway.

The deceased have been identified as Ruplal Chaudhary (22), Rajan Chaudhary (27) and Rakesh Chaudhary ( 22), of Simara Sub-Metropolitan City-12, Bara, according to Kaushal Kumar Budhathoki, Chief at the District Police Office. 

They died during the course of treatment at Nobel Medical College and Teaching Hospital, Biratnagar, where they had been referred for further treatment by the District Hospital, Paanchthar. 

The Road Division Office, Ilam was constructing a 70-meter-long modular bailey bridge on the Henwa river.

The bailey bridge was provided as a grant by the Government of India and the construction and installation of the structure was being carried out by Super Saugat Light Builders JV at a cost of Rs 34.9 million.
