All the schools in Palungtar Municipality of Gorkha district have been closed from today due to extreme heat.

The municipality has decided to shut down all the community and institutional schools for two days after students started facing health issues, said Mayor Bibash Chintan.

The teaching learning activities would resume regularly from June 15, according to the municipality.

Similarly, Aanbukhaireni Rural Municipality has also given holiday in all community and institutional schools for two days from today.

The decision was taken in view of students’ health issues.

Issuing a notice, the rural municipality requested all to adopt necessary precautions to escape the rising temperature.
