Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Chennai Super Kings by two runs in match 52 of the Indian Premier League 2025 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday. Chasing CSK finished at 211/5 in their quota of 20 overs on the back of half-centuries from Ayush Mhatre 94(48) and Ravindra Jadeja 77(45), The Indian Express reported.
Earlier, MS Dhoni won the toss and put RCB into bat first. Openers Jacob Bethell 55(33) and Virat Kohli 62(33) both scored half-centuries, and Romario Shephard 53 (14) blitzed with a superb innings right at the end.
With the win, RCB has one leg in the playoffs with 16 points, meanwhile Chennai has already been eliminated from the playoff race earlier in the season, according to The Indian Express.
