A man killed his wife by attacking her with a wooden plank at Beni Municipality-7 in Myagdi district on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Bhagawati BK (27) of Jaljala Rural Municipality-3 in Parbat district, currently living at Mangalghat in Myagdi district.

Bhagawati died on the spot when Raju BK attacked her with a wooden plank over a domestic dispute, according to preliminary investigation. 

Police Inspector Sagar Poudel said the Bhagawati's body has been kept at Beni Hospital for postmortem.

Police have started investigation into the case by arresting Raju from Jyamrukkot Community Forest at Beni municipality-2.
